Matured for 15 months in French and American oak hogsheads. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Nosing reveals blackcurrant, choc mint, toasty oak and earth notes. Full in body the palate has expressive ripe blackcurrant fruits wrapped up in mint over an earthy vanillin oak and spice back drop. Slightly dryish finish with firm grainy tannins and a chewy medium length aftertaste.
