Linke - Deep, dark purple-red in the glass – as it should be.
Red and purple fruits drive the nose – dried red-currants and ripe plums – it’s rich and imposing without losing its line. Oak speaks softly.
Carrying hallmark Stonewell sub-region ironstone and black olives, with the ripe plums and raspberry chocolate of the broader Barossa. It’s complex and modern and punches well above its price range.
Bulletproof and, if anything, blossoms with a day open. I wish wines of this quality were available at this price when I was in the distribution game.
